An Australian Icon. Re-engineered To Adapt.
The LandCruiser 79 Series has built its reputation on durability, simplicity and capability. LiquidSpring adds intelligent suspension technology to a platform Australians already trust.
Developed for demanding touring, work and off-road applications, the LiquidSpring 79 Series solution brings active hydraulic suspension control to one of Australia's most recognised heavy-duty 4WD platforms. It is designed around the reality that a 79 Series can carry substantial weight, travel long distances and encounter completely different terrain from one day to the next.
The LiquidSpring LandCruiser 79 Series application is different from the Ford and RAM systems and should be assessed specifically for the individual vehicle, its build configuration and intended use.
Discuss Your 79 SeriesWorkhorse. Tourer. Off-Road. Camper.
Few vehicles are expected to do as many different jobs as a LandCruiser 79 Series. One vehicle can move between daily driving, heavy payload, long-distance touring, corrugated roads and challenging off-road terrain.
One Vehicle. Constantly Changing Conditions.
A heavily equipped 79 Series can behave very differently from the same vehicle running light. Add a tray, canopy, tools, touring equipment or camper and the suspension has an entirely different job to do. LiquidSpring is designed to adapt spring rate and damping as those operating conditions change.
Built To Carry.
Trays, canopies, tools and equipment can create significant changes in vehicle load. LiquidSpring is designed to respond as the operating weight and driving conditions change rather than relying on one fixed suspension response.
Work & PayloadBuilt For The Long Haul.
Long-distance touring can mean hours behind the wheel with fuel, water, recovery equipment, camping gear and accessories onboard. An adaptive suspension system is designed to maintain a more controlled and consistent vehicle response as conditions change.
Long-Distance TouringWhen The Road Gets Rough.
Corrugations, potholes, broken surfaces and remote roads place very different demands on suspension than smooth bitumen. LiquidSpring can alter suspension response in real time as vehicle and road inputs change.
Corrugations & Rough RoadsBeyond The Bitumen.
When terrain becomes uneven, suspension movement and controlled articulation become increasingly important. LiquidSpring's active system is designed to adapt to terrain while helping maintain vehicle control through changing conditions.
Off-Road CapabilityDesigned For More Than Smooth Roads.
LiquidSpring's active suspension technology is designed to respond differently depending on what the vehicle is experiencing. That becomes particularly valuable on a touring 79 Series where road surface, vehicle load and terrain can change dramatically throughout a single journey.
Loaded Or Empty. The Suspension Adapts.
RideSync™ is designed to automatically adjust spring rate and damping as load and driving conditions change, helping deliver a more consistent suspension response without requiring the driver to manually tune the system for every situation.
More Than A Suspension Upgrade.
LiquidSpring approaches suspension differently. Instead of relying solely on fixed-rate mechanical components, the system combines liquid-based struts, hydraulic control, vehicle sensors and onboard intelligence to actively manage suspension behaviour.
It Doesn't Just React. It Adapts.
Traditional suspension components are selected and tuned around anticipated conditions. LiquidSpring Smart Suspension™ takes a different approach. The system continuously evaluates vehicle inputs and changes its response in real time — allowing the same 79 Series to behave differently when loaded, unloaded, cornering, braking or travelling across changing terrain.
Smart Suspension™
LiquidSpring combines its liquid-based suspension hardware with sensors and electronic control. Vehicle inputs are continuously monitored so suspension behaviour can be adjusted as conditions change.
RideSync™
RideSync™ automatically adjusts spring rate and damping as vehicle load and driving conditions change. That means a 79 carrying a full touring setup doesn't need to behave exactly the same way when the vehicle is running lighter.
Tru-Earth Leveling™
On equipped applications, Tru-Earth Leveling™ uses the LiquidSpring suspension itself to level the stationary vehicle on uneven ground. There are no separate levelling jacks required to contact the ground.
Vehicle inputs monitored up to 1,000 times per second.
The Suspension Is Constantly Paying Attention.
LiquidSpring monitors key vehicle inputs and uses that information to determine how the suspension should respond. The system can make adjustments in approximately 40 milliseconds.
Sense. Calculate. Adjust. Repeat.
Vehicle Input
The vehicle encounters a corner, braking event, load change or different terrain.
Sensors Monitor
The system continuously evaluates relevant vehicle and suspension inputs.
System Calculates
Onboard control determines the appropriate suspension response for the current conditions.
Suspension Adjusts
Spring rate and damping characteristics can change as the vehicle continues to move.
Arrive. Park. Level.
For touring and camper-style 79 Series builds, levelling at camp can be almost as important as suspension performance on the road. Tru-Earth uses the LiquidSpring suspension itself to level an equipped vehicle when stationary.
Levelling is performed through the suspension rather than separate jacks extending to the ground.
Designed to compensate for suitable uneven parking surfaces within the system's available suspension travel.
Tru-Earth is activated through the LiquidSpring driver interface when the vehicle is stationary.
The same suspension hardware responsible for vehicle ride also provides the levelling capability.
Build Your Ultimate 79 Series.
No two 79 Series builds are exactly the same. Tray, canopy, camper, tools, touring equipment, water, fuel and accessories can completely change the way the vehicle needs to perform. LiquidSpring should be considered as part of the complete build.
Work Ute
For 79 Series vehicles carrying tools, equipment, trays and changing commercial payloads.
Touring Build
For long-range setups carrying fuel, water, recovery gear and everything required for extended travel.
Canopy Build
For permanent tray and canopy configurations where rear vehicle weight forms a major part of the overall build.
Camper / Expedition
For more comprehensive camper and expedition platforms designed for remote travel and changing terrain.
Don't Choose The Suspension In Isolation.
The best LiquidSpring solution starts with understanding the whole vehicle. How much does it weigh? What is permanently fitted? What changes from trip to trip? What terrain will it encounter? And what do you expect from the vehicle when it's unloaded? Those questions help define the right path for the build.
